E-licensing of mines on cards
Government says it is creating a stable environment in the mining sector to increase production and boost economic growth.
And Mines Minister Christopher Yaluma says government is undertaking various projects aimed at increasing power generation to support and sustain mining activities in the country.
Mr. Yaluma said this in Kitwe Tuesday when he officially opened the 2015 mining and trade expo.
The Minister also said the new computerised licensing system which government intends to introduce in the mining sector will market Zambia’s mining industry on the international front.
Mr. Yaluma said works on the modern computerised system will reduce the cost of doing business for investors.
And Chamber of Mines President Jackson Sikamo said the mining industry is currently providing over ninety thousand directs jobs in Zambia
