ITRON to invest in water sector
A French company, Itron Limited, has offered to invest in the rehabilitation and management of the water reticulation system in Zambia.
The French company says the investment will help reduce leakages in the supply system, from the current 60 per cent to 30 per cent within 5 years.
This came to light when President Edgar Lungu met the French business community during his official visit to that country, which ended yesterday.
Meanwhile, French investors have assured President Lungu of more investments in Zambia.
The President met various representatives of selected French companies investing in Zambia, who have pledged to invest in Zambia.
This is according to a statement released by President Lungu’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda.
