Women rise -Former PM
Former Mozambiqucan Prime Minister Luisa Diogo says there is no political will in promoting women’s participation in economic and governance issues in Africa.
Ms. Diogo says women representation has remained low in various sectors of society in Africa.
She was speaking on Friday evening at the African women’s economic summit dinner gala.
And Gender and Child Development Minister Inonge Wina says women should always support each other in order to effectively contribute to national development.
And Standard Chartered Bank Chief Executive Officer Andrew Okai says 70 percent of women live in abject poverty.
He says this situation needs concerted efforts from both women and men in order to change it.
