Chipolopolo boys arrive in Cape Verde
The Zambia National Football Team has arrived in Cape Verde ahead of this evening’s Africa Cup qualifier against that country.
This is according to a latest FAZ face book positing.
FAZ says the match between Zambia and Cape Verde will kick off at 16-hours local time which is 19-hours Zambian time.
The Chipolopolo’s departure for Cape Verde was delayed and the team left late last evening for today’s game.
The Ministry of Sports has taken blame for the delay in the team’s departure.
AND, football analyst MPONGA LIWEWE says Cape Verde Island is a very experienced team and the Chipolopolo needed to prepare adequately.
LIWEWE says the Cape Verde side is one of the top teams in Africa and has players who are well organised.
He has warned that last minute preparations may not work well for the Zambian team.
Meanwhile, LIWEWE says it is NOT wise for the Zambian coach to do away completely with the old players because the Zambian side is still in a transition stage.
He was speaking on TV2 news and current affairs segment of morning live ahead of the Zambia – Cape Verde match today scheduled for Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia.
