600 families displaced in Imusho
About 600 families have been displaced by floods in Imusho area in Sesheke district.A check by ZNBC revealed that the affected families have relocated to drier land.
Western province permanent secretary Ikkanuke Nooyo said he will soon contact the office of the vice president for relief food to be sent to the area.
He said government is committed to the welfare of its people and will not abandon them.
Mr. Nooyo said just like the way government provided food for flood victims in shangombo and other areas, people in Imusho will be assisted.
The permanent secretary said Imusho experiences floods around June.
