Govt to pay blind retirees
Government says it will soon pay former Zambia Council for the Blind and Handicapped retirees.Community Development and Social Services Minister, Michael Kaingu says government is making arrangements to pay retirees their excess leave days.
Mr. Kaingu says he has been holding discussions with his counterpart at the Ministry of Finance.
The Minister said payments will be made in the respective centres where the retirees were working.
About three hundred and fifteen retirees have not been paid their excess leave days.
The retirees were paid their terminal benefits thirteen years ago.
