Church calls for dialogue among parties
The church says dialogue among political parties is the ONLY way to make political parties reach consensus on various issues ahead of the 2011 general elections.The Council of Churches in Zambia -CCZ- is tomorrow meeting with an agenda of coming up with a date to meet all political parties.
And the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia -EFZ- will soon write to all political parties inviting them for a meeting aimed at preparing them on how best to agree or differ peacefully on various issues ahead of the general election.
CCZ Chairperson MOSES MWALE said the proposed meeting with all political parties in the country is aimed at making them discuss all outstanding issues which make them differ during elections.
Reverend MWALE added that the church does not want to see violence ahead of the 2011 general elections.
And EFZ Executive Director PUKUTA MWANZA said the church wants to create a peaceful atmosphere in the country ahead of the general elections.
