Why camp squad in Europe
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says the decision to camp the national team in Europe will give the squad a sense of responsibility.FAZ chairman for Publicity Promotions and Fairplay, Macha Chilemena said Europe will also give the boys a sense of confidence and change of attitude.
Chilemena told ZNBC sport that FAZ is however still finalising with sponsors to get the national team into Europe where facilities are better.
He also said FAZ with its co-operating partners has come up with a committee to see how the team can seriously train for the remaining games.
Chilemena said once the discussions are finalised, the venue and the country where the team will be based will be communicated to the media.
He also said the national team will leave Zambia on August 17 for Europe and will return a few days before their return match against Algeria.
Zambia lost to Algeria 2 goals to nil at Konkola stadium in Chililambombwe after failing to utilise several chances that could have burried Algeria.
