Chingangu fights in August
Africa Boxing Union (ABU) has pushed forward the mandatory title defence heavy weight boxing bout for reigning champion Joseph "No Pressure" Chingangu to August this year.Chingangu was scheduled to fight Tamin Awadi of Tanzania next month but the ABU has called for an elimination contest.
The winner between the two East African heavy weights will now face Chingangu in a title defence fight on August 4.
Awadi, who is the Tanzanian heavy weight champion will face an opponent based either in Uganda or Kenya to be named soon.
Zambia Professional Boxing and Wrestling Board of Control Secretary Everson Kalenga has confirmed the development.
