ZACCI honours Mwanawasa
The Zambia Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry has honoured President Mwanawasa with the ZACCI Achievement Award for the year 2005 - 2006.The ZACCI Award is in recognition of the president's role in enhancing private sector and public sector dialogue.
ZACCI Chairman, Wwamulume Kalabo presented the award to President Mwanawasa at a ceremony at State House in the capital Lusaka - Thursday.
Mr. Kalabo said Mr. Mwanawasa has demonstrated his committment to enhancing private and public sector participation in fostering national development.
The President said he was extremely humbled by the ZACCI award.
Mr. Mwanawasa said it is gratifying that his government and the private sector have created confidence in their working relations over the last five years.
He said the private sector has been a key ally in job and wealth creation.
