The Anglican Church in Lusaka will spend 24 thousand kwacha in donations for assorted food items in three various institutions in commemoration of this year’s independence day celebrations.
The institutions are Chainama Hills hospital, Matero old people’s home, and Kamwala remand prison.
The church today donated food items valued at six thousand kwacha to Chainama Hills Hospital.
Speaking during the donation, Anglican Bishop of Lusaka Right Reverend David Njobvu praised government for working hard to improve the quality of health care in the country
Right Reverend Njobvu said the Anglican Church is aware of the huge cost of providing health care to hospitals especially food items.
He said it is for this reason that the Anglican church has donated an assortment of food items to Chainama Hills hospital, to supplement government efforts.
Right Reverend Njobvu called on the country at large to remember the needy especially during the independence celebrations.
