British High Commissioner to Zambia Fergus Cochrane-Dyet has urged political leaders to publicly condemn political violence.
Mr Cochrane-Dyet says it is good that President Lungu has shown commitment to a peaceful Zambia by denouncing violence and its perpetrators during his address to parliament.
He said it is also good that the President’s speech addressed key issues regarding political violence and governance.
Mr Cochrane-Dyet said it is sad that political cadres have continued perpetrating violence during elections.
He told ZNBC News that Zambians should learn to co-exist and promote dialogue.
