Government says Cabinet Business has now gone digital and will by 1st January, 2018 completely phase out paper-based processes.
Acting Chief Government spokesperson Steven Kampyongo has disclosed the development.
Mr. Kampyongo who is also Minister of Home Affairs explains that implementation of electronic cabinet meetings from paper-based way of doing things to being paperless was effected in this week’s cabinet meeting.
He states that the move will result in significant financial savings as well as economic gain for the country.
Mr. Kampyongo says all Cabinet documentation will be delivered efficiently because physical delivery is coming to an end.
He added that printing huge volumes of Cabinet documentation shall also be reduced to a very minimal amount.
