South African Boxer Asandiawa Nxokwana, Catherine Phiri’s opponent for this weekend’s non-title boxing tournament has arrived in the country.
Nxokwana landed this afternoon at around 12:55 via South African Airline flight SA66.
Speaking on arrival, Nxokwana’s coach and trainer Mzamo Njekanye says her boxer is prepared for Saturday’s fight.
Njekanye says Nxokwana, who turned Professional in 2013 and has a record of 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw from her 10 fights will put in her best to travel back home with victory.
He says the boxer is fighting out of South Africa for the first time but will not show any signs of fear once she steps into the ring.
And Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotion Manager Christopher Malunga says Catherine Phiri and the other boxers are ready to step into the ring.
Malunga says all is set for a successful hosting of the tournament.
He says the organizing committee has managed to reach the set target to ensure the tournament is hosted successfully.
ZNBC will broadcast live the tournament om ZNBC TV1 on Saturday night.
