Central Province Minister Sydney Mushanga has praised outgoing Permanent Secretary Chanda Kabwe for the contributions he made in central province especially in the area of infrastructure development.
Speaking during a meeting with Heads of Government departments held at the Council Chamber in Kabwe today, Mr. Mushanga said Mr. Kabwe was a hardworking and exemplary leader during his tenure of office.
The Minister has commended Mr. Kabwe for spear-heading the Mwomboshi irrigation dam project which has since been commissioned to service the people of central province.
Mr. Mushanga says the province also managed to host the first ever Business Investment Forum and Exposition (EXPO) aimed at revamping the economy of the region.
And Mr. Kabwe who is now Disaster management and mitigation unit (DMMU) National coordinator has thanked the people of central province for the support they rendered to him during his tenure of office.
Mr. Kabwe urged all civil servants to support the newly appointed Permanent Secretary Bernard Chomba as he settles in his new position for him to realize meaningful development in the province.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chomba has called for team work among civil servants in the province in order to promote development.
