Government is to develop a new mini hydro power station at Chavuma falls in North Western province to boost energy production and stimulate economic activities in the area.
Chavuma District Commissioner Kennedy Penzo says Government has since appointed Sino Hydro of China as the prospecting investor.
Mr. Penzo told ZNBC News in Chavuma that Sino Hydro has already engaged the Zambia Institute of Environmental Health to undertake the environmental social impact assessment.
