Government has instituted investigations into alleged reports of bullying at Chengelo Secondary School in Mkushi.
General Education Permanent Secretary Henry Tukombe says a comprehensive statement will be issued after getting first-hand information from Officers who are already on the ground.
Mr. Tukombe says the Ministry of General Education is also engaging School authorities before it can act.
He has told ZNBC News in Lusaka that the Ministry has only seen video circulating on Social media and that it will not rush into taking any action before investigations are concluded.
And Ministry of General Education Director of Standards and Curriculum Sunday Mwape said the perpetrators of the act, if found wanting must be brought to book.
Meanwhile, teachers unions in Lusaka have condemned the brutal behaviour of two pupils at Chengelo Secondary school who have been captured on video beating up a fellow pupil.
National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia-NUPPEZ- National Secretary Nelson Mwale says the conduct of the two pupils is unacceptable.
Mr. Mwale says there is need for guidance and cancelling of Children in all schools.
He told ZNBC news in an interview that Teachers should ensure that there is close monitoring of pupils in boarding schools.
And the Basic Teachers Union of Zambia-BETUZ – says the incident at Chengelo boarding school is an eye opener to illicit conduct of pupils in boarding schools.
