A small-scale farmer has been killed by unknown people in Chibombo district, Central province.
George Musopelo , aged 37, of Mwelebi village in Chief Liteta’s area, was attacked and also allegedly robbed of 35,000 Kwacha cash on Tuesday night near the Keembe-Chitanda road turn-off.

has confirmed the incident to ZANIS.
Mr Musopelo has explained that the deceased was attacked while on his way to finish paying for a vehicle, which he had bought on hire purchase.
He has added that the deceased and the seller of the vehicle had agreed to meet at the turn-off, but before he could get there he was attacked by unknown people.
Police are investigating the matter.
