The Chipolopolo Boys have beaten South African Premier league side Orlando Pirates by three goals to one in a friendly match played in South Africa on Wednesday.
Zambia opened the score line through Zesco United forward Lazarous Kambole in the 13th minute.
Mpho Makola leveled the scores in the 22nd minute taking the match to a one-all score line by half time.
In the second half, goals came from Zesco United defender Fackson Kapumbu in the 47th minute and Power Dynamos’ striker Alex Ng’onga who came in as a substitutes, sealing off the match in Zambia’s favor with a 3rd goal in the 85th minute.
FAZ Communications Manager Desmond Katongo who has confirmed the results to ZNBC Sports says Coach Wedson Nyirenda had earlier started the match with the same line up that beat division one side Circuit City 5-1 but made a few changes in the second half.
The Zambian CHAN squad departs for Morocco this evening and will open the CHAN tournament with a fixture against Uganda on Sunday January 14, 2018.
