The Chipolopolo boys have stepped up gear for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco with the second week of training taking them to Miller Grounds.
Assistant coach Aggrey Chiyangi took charge of the drill with Technical Director Moses Sichone keeping an eye on the sidelines.
Zambian Footballer of the Year Augustine Mulenga watched from the sidelines owing to a sore on his feet while John Ching’andu limped off the pitch with a twisted knee that medics will be having another look.
Team physiotherapist Henschel Chilimboyi told Fazfootball.com that Ching’andu will have to be assessed to ascertain the seriousness of his injury.
“He twisted his knee but we will have to wait to have him thoroughly examined so that we assess how serious the injury is,” Chilimboyi said.
Zambia is in Group B alongside Namibia, Uganda and Ivory Coast and will tackle the cranes on January 14 in their opening match.
The tournament runs from January 12 to February 14.
Zambia will making its third appearance at the championship after finishing third in 2009 and in 2016 where they were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage.
