Disability Rights Watch has appealed to the Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ-to provide a braille template, during the July 26 by Mayoral Elections.
Disability Rights Watch Program Coordinator Bruce Chooma says this will enable visually impaired people participate in the election.
Mr. Chooma also called for polling stations to be more accessible for people who are physically challenged.
Mr. Chooma has told ZNBC News in an Interview that violence among political parties is also another hindrance for the physically challenged.
Meanwhile Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ -Public Relations Manager Margaret Chimanse has disclosed that the Commission is going to provide a braille templates, for visually impaired people to cast their vote.
Mrs. Chimanse says it is a right for the Visually Impaired to participate in the election.
She says ECZ remains committed to ensuring that the persons with disabilities exercise their right to vote.
