Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo is impressed with the works to expand East Park Mall, which will cost over 85 million United States Dollars.
The Mall is part of the Private Public Partnership -PPP- initiative between the University of Zambia and Graduare Property Development Zambia Limited.
And Mr. Lusambo has reaffirmed his support to the investors as this will help raise revenue for the University of Zambia.
He said after inspecting the works, that once completed the mall will create employment opportunities for UNZA Students as well as raise revenue.
Meanwhile, University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Luke Mumba expressed happiness with government’s gesture to incorporate the private investor in supporting the institution as part of raising revenue.
And, Graduare Property Development Zambia Limited Chief Executive Officer, Diego Casili said the expansion project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
Mr. Casili also said the project is already bearing fruit because young people have been employed at the facility.
