President Edgar Lungu has empowered a group of women marketeers with some money to use to grow their business in Kafue district.
Delivering the money on behalf of President Lungu Kafue District Commissioner Joseph Kamana says women are the pillar of families hence the need to empower them.
He says women marketeers are at the heart of President Lungu.
Mr. Kamana said this during the hand over ceremony in Kafue district today.
Mr. Kamana further disclosed that government has plans to construct a modern market and bus stop in Kafue district.
And speaking at the same function, Former Kafue District Council Chairperson Thomas Zulu said President Lungu wants to bring development to Kafue and people should rally behind him.
Mr Zulu said the President wants Kafue district industries to be up and running again.
He said President Lungu’s desire to develop Kafue district is evident with a number of visits he has undertaken to Kafue district.
