Teachers Unions have described reports of alleged examination malpractices as sabotage to the education sector.
National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia -NUPPEZ- Secretary General Nelson Mwale says it is sad that the trend of cheating during examinations has continued to affect the education sector.
Mr. Mwale told ZNBC News in an interview that despite intensified sensitisation on the grave effects of the vice it has continued.
And Basic Teachers Union of Zambia -BETUZ- Secretary General Jeffrey Simuntala said examination leakages are destroying the education system.
Mr. Simuntala said investigations must be instituted without shielding anyone.
Meanwhile, Zambia Nation Union of Teachers -ZNUT- Secretary General Newman Bubala said if examination leakages continue academic certificates will lose credibility.
Mr. Bubala further explained that the ECZ should be responsible in ensuring that pupils write a fair examination.
