The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- is on Friday set to meet all Super Division clubs over the October 15 CAF deadline for submission of representatives for the continetal club competitions.
According to the CAF deadline, FAZ is expected to send the names of four clubs to represent Zambia in the Champions League and Confederations Cup competitions.
This is according to a statement availed to TV2 sports by FAZ Communications Manager, Desmond Katongo.
Katongo has disclosed that CAF has also informed its members of the revised calendar, that will see the continental competitions, staged from August through to May, the following year.
This is in accordance with the schedule of most of the major African leagues and European club competitions.
Katongo has added that CAF has also said the current Champions League and African Confederation Cup are the last to be staged within a calendar year.
Currently, the Zambian Super League traditionally ends in November, but it will have to be staged in conformity with the new CAF calendar next year.
