French Ambassador to Zambia Syvian Berger says the Embassy wants to amplify his country’s bilateral relations with Zambia by building an amphitheater as a way of supporting tourism through arts and culture.
Mr. Berger says Zambia and France have for the last 55 years enjoyed diplomatic relations which should continue to grow strong.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism and Arts Charles Banda at his office.
Mr. Berger said the two countries have continued to work closely to support each other even in areas of economic development.
And Dr Banda said the theatre should be situated in a centralized place.
Dr Banda however said he will soon engage management at Lusaka Play House to have it there.
