Southern Province Minister, Edify Hamukale, says government has released 34 – million Kwacha for the completion of the ultra-modern market and intercity bus terminus in Livingstone.
Speaking after touring the two sites, Dr. Hamukale assured the residents of Livingstone that the two facilities will be completed this year.
He said the Zambia National Service – ZNS, which has already moved on site, is set to complete the two structures within eight months.
The minister said the completion of the market and bus station, whose construction started in 2012, will boost the tourism industry in Livingstone.
Dr. Hamukale said the two structures, will also increase commercial activities and stimulate other auxiliary businesses in the Tourist Capital.
He said once completed the Livingstone ultra-modern market and intercity bus station, are expected to create about NINE hundred jobs.
Dr. Hamukale said the province is proud to receive the two structures, which he says cannot be compared to any in the country.
