Chief Ntambu of the Lunda people in Mwinilunga district says signing of Public Private Community Partnerships for Game management areas will help create jobs and alleviate poverty in the Chiefdom.
The Chief is happy that agreements will be signed for the Management the West Lunga National Park and the Chibiwika-Ntambu and Lukwakwa game management areas Agreement.
The Public Private Community Partnership -PPCP- will be signed by the Ministry of Tourism, the community resource boards and Kalumbila Trident Foundation Limited.
Chief Ntambu was speaking when a delegation for the United Nations Development Programme -UNDP under the Global Environmental facility -GEF Five project paid a courtesy call on him at his palace.
The Traditional Ruler also said that traditional leaders must play a pivotal role in the conservation of wildlife and natural resources.
And Northwestern and Copperbelt Senior wildlife Warden Charles Simwawa said the coming in of the- PPCP- will attract tourism investments.
Meanwhile, North Western Province Forestry Officer Mulako Muyunda implored the local people to take ownership of natural resources.
