Government is considering setting up an aircraft ambulance at the University Teaching Hospital to enhance service delivery for emergencies.
Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya says Government aims at attaining Universal Health Coverage in the next coming years.
He said this when he handed over an Ambulance to Zambia Air Force.
Dr. Chilufya also added that some nurses will be sent to the rural areas where ZAF is operating to address the shortage of health personnel.
The Minister also indicated that he is aware of the challenges that the ZAF hospital is facing and drugs will soon be supplied.
And Zambia Air Force Commander Lieutenant General David Muma has reaffirmed the Air force’s commitment to continue working with the Ministry of health in various fields.
