Government has delivered over 30,000 by 50 kilogram bags of fertilizer to Lufwanyama and Kalulushi on the Copperbelt under the 2018-2019 farming season.
This is part of the 120,000 bags of fertilizer and other inputs meant for farmers under the 2018 to 2019 farming season.
ZNBC News found found Nyimba Investments the contractor engaged to supply inputs to farmers in Lufwanyama and Kalulushi offloading the fertilizer in Kalulushi.
Kalulushi District Commissioner Kenny Siachisumo told ZNBC News that Nyimba investments will supply the agro-dealers with inputs which will be given to farmers under the E -voucher system.
Mr Siachisumo further said measures are also being put in place to ensure 15 thousand farmers under the E-voucher do not face any hurdles in the 2018, 2019 farming season.
He also disclosed that authorities in Kalulushi will increase the number of Agro dealers from the current 8 to 23 for the smooth running of the E voucher system.
