Government has called for an amicable solution to wrangles between management and unionised staff at the Copperbelt University.
Meanwhile, Kwacha Member of Parliament Joe Malanji who is also Minister of Foreign Affairs says management at Copperbelt University and government will find a sustainable way of paying salaries.
He has told ZNBC News that Government is aware of the of the challenges facing CBU.
And Copperbelt University Vice Chancellor Professor Naison Ngoma said internal staff politics is compromising the management of the University.
Reacting to a five-day sitting by academic staff over the non-payment of December salaries Professor Ngoma said they are a lot of politics being played at the institution.
Professor Ngoma said management at the institution have already paid out the salaries to the staff who are also calling for his resignation.
But CBU Academic Union President Derrick Ntalasha bemoaned the deplorable state of infrastructure and lack of learning tools at the university.
