Kitwe High Court Judge-In-Charge Justice Isaac Tentameni Chali who died on March 9,2018 in Lusaka will be put to rest Tuesday March 13,2018 at Kitwe’s Nkana East cemetery.
Justice Chali died at care for business hospital after a short illness.
According to the burial programme released to ZNBC news in Kitwe, Justice Chali’s funeral procession will start with a valedictory session at the Kitwe High Court to be attended by high profile members of the Judiciary including the deputy chief Justice.
The valedictory session will be followed by a church service at Kitwe’s Lighthouse Family Church after which the funeral procession will move to Nkana East cemetery for burial.
Justice Chali who was until his death Kitwe high court Judge in charge, also served as Law Association of Zambia vice Chairman, Copperbelt university council Vice Chairman and Chairman.
And in his message of condolences president Edgar Lungu applauded the late judge’s great achievement and contribution to the advancement of the legal profession in Zambia .
President Lungu said the encouragement Justice Chali gave to young Lawyers to learn the foundation set by senior lawyers helped uplift the standards of legal practice both at the bar and at the bench.
And Zambia judiciary public relations officer Kalumba Slavin has described justice Chali’s death as a big blow not only to the judiciary but the country.
Justice Chali was survived by three children.
