KALENGO RETURNS TO ZESCO

Winston Kalengo has returned to Zesco United – for a third stint – after his contract with Congolese outfit AC Leopards ended last year.

Kalengo, 32, is listed on Zesco United’s 28-man squad for their 2018 CAF Champions League, subject to his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) being received in time.

The 2015 Zambian Footballer of the Year has had two previous stints with Team Ya Ziko whom he represented for one and a half seasons between 2011 and 2012 before returning to Zanaco in mid 2012. He rejoined the Ndola outfit at the start of the 2013 until he left for Congo-Brazzaville in December, 2015.

Kalengo is joined on the list of new arrivals at the club by Solomon Sakala from Napsa Stars, Adam Zikiru from Nchanga Rangers, Edward Tembo from City of Lusaka and Lameck Banda from Nkwazi.

Missing from the list are defenders Ben Adama Banh and Bernard Mapili, midfielders Kasashi Lupiya and Chibesa Chanda Mwape as well as strikers Humphrey Maseneko, Patrick Kongolo and David Kasirye.

Also not listed are wingback Jean Claude Iranzi, defenders Dumisani Mwanza and Bwalya Chiti as well as goalkeepers Brown Nyirenda and Bob Kasua Ngoi.
