The Lusaka Magistrate Court has subpoenaed a music promoter to came and show cause as to why he has failed to bring Congolese Musician Koffi Olomide to court.
Magistrate Mwandu Sakala says Mark Mubalama should give an explanation for failing to present Olomide before the court despite having made a commitment.
In this matter Olomide is accused of having assaulted Photo Journalist Jean Ndayisenga.
When the matter came up prosecutor Gilbert Phiri informed the court that both the suspect and Mr. Mubalama were not before the courts of law.
Mr. Phiri alleged that the behavior of Mr. Mubalama was contemptuous.
He later applied for the adjournment of the case to the 26th of September to allow Mr. Mubalama come to court and explain why Koffi was not before the court.
During the last sitting Mubalama made an undertaking to personally deliver the summons to Olomida so that he can answer to the charges of assault.
