The Zambia National Dance Troupe is in India to participate in a 17-days tourism cultural event, called the Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
This is under the sponsorship of the government of India.
And Head of the Delegation, Ministry of Tourism and Arts Senior Arts and Cultural Affairs Officer, Kandai Chilongo is grateful for the sponsorship.
Mr Chilongo said the Seventh National Development Plan has identified tourism as a priority sector for economic development, adding that Zambia will benchmark from India on how to effectively organise the Pamodzi Carnival.
The Surajkund International Crafts Mela is being held in Faridabad in the Indian State of Haryana up to February 17, this year.
