ABSA CUP IN DAY TWO
By Chansa Kunda:
The hunt for the 6-hundred thousand kwacha continues with day two of the ABSA Cup Quarter-final games to be played this afternoon at the woodlands Staduim.
With two quarter-final fixtures already concluded, a pair of Blockbuster games will be played today.
And Currently underway, Prison Leopards who have been a revelation and force to reckon with this season take on the elite team Lusaka Dynamos.
Their only claim to cup glory is a 2002 Coca Cola Cup fourth place finish when they lost 5-4 on post-match penalties to Kitwe United in the third and fourth play-off.
Leopards could look to sustain the momentum as they face a Lusaka Dynamos side who have three ABSA cup appearances and are currently tutored by Wedson Nyirenda.
And in the second match of the day ZANACO will be up against Kabwe Warriors in a game that promises to light up the stage.
The bankers have qualified in all ABSA Cup competitions except the 2020 aborted one and have appeared in four finals winning the trophy once in 2017.
Kabwe warriors on the other hand have participated in the ABSA Cup four times with three quarterfinal appearances.
