AIR TANZANIA OPEN NDOLA ROUTE
(ZANIS)Air Tanzania has launched the Dar-es-Saalam-Ndola route as second route into Zambia
The Dar-es-Saalam -Lusaka route was the first to be launched in 2019.
And Tanzania’s Minister for Works and Transport, MAKAME MBARAWA has noted that air transport is an important connector between his country and Zambia.
Professor MBARAWA says the route is expected to enhance investment, trade and tourism in the region.
ZANIS reports that Professor MBARAWA was speaking during the inaugural flight at the Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola on the Copperbelt.
Meanwhile, Copperbelt Province Acting Permanent Secretary, ROBERT ZULU observed that the flight offers additional capacity to exporters, particularly those in the horticulture and poultry industry.
Dr ZULU, who spoke on behalf of Transport and Logistics Minister, FRANK TAYALI, said the opening of new routes by airlines into Zambia, signifies increased interest in the country’s tourism and business opportunities.
