AKUS TO INVEST $300M IN SOLAR FARMS
(ZANIS) A local independent power company, AKUS Solar Power Enterprise, has expressed interest to invest about 300 million dollars in the country.
The firm plans to establish solar farms in 7 of the 10 provinces in the country.
Each solar farm is earmarked to generate 200 megawatts of green energy, which will be fed in the national grid, through ZESCO.
AKUS Solar Power Chief Executive Officer, RAJESH MAKHANI has told ZANIS that the Ministry of Energy has already approved the investment plan.
Mr MAKHANI has said a Memorandum of Understanding -MoU- has been signed with ZESCO.
