All CDF Bottlenecks will be addressed -HH
Katwishi Bwalya-President Hakainde Hichilema says government will amend the law to ensure all bottlenecks hampering the utilization of the Constituency Development Funds-CDF- are removed.
President Hichilema says CDF was aimed at changing the scenario of resource allocation so that local people can decide for themselves.
President Hichilema says CDF should serve the purpose for which it was set up.
And President Hichilema has invited Traditional leaders to be part of the economic transformation that his government has embarked on.
President says chiefs are key ingredients of national development because of the role they play in society.
The President who took time to explain government policies to rebuild the economy through the rule of law, said government will work with Traditional leaders in revamping the economy which is grappling with a huge debt.
President Hichilema was speaking when he addressed the first meeting of the 6th session of the House of Chiefs in Lusaka.
And the President says the 1958 Map shall the official document for the determination of boundaries.
President Hichilema challenged Traditional leaders not to tolerate tribalism and ethnicity in their chiefdoms.
He said Zambia was founded on the premise of national unity and therefore, tribalism should not be tolerated and must be fought.
The President also assured the Chiefs that government will address issues of Chiefs Palaces and vehicles which were not distributed equally.
He challenged the Chiefs to make progressive submissions to government during their deliberations on matters affecting them and their chiefdoms
