Be proactive, CEEC told
Hector Simfukwe-President EDGAR LUNGU says the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission should make it easy for people in rural areas to access funds especially those who have land for projects like fish farming.
President LUNGU says there is no need for the Commission to demand for title deeds before a person with a small business can access empowerment funds.
He said this when he met village headmen and women in Chipata District.
Meanwhile President LUNGU has announced that government will deal with social media abusers especially as the country heads towards the 2021 elections.
And speaking on behalf of the village headmen and women FIKIZOLO JERE complained that it is difficult for people in rural areas to access empowerment funds from CEEC for setting up of fishponds.
He said the Commission has been asking for title deeds before people can receive the empowerment funds.
Mr. JERE also urged government to deal with those abusing of social media.
