BISHOP MCHOMBO OFFERS ADVICE ON CAMPAIGNS
By Christopher Miti-Anglican Diocese of Eastern Zambia Bishop William Mchombo has appealed to politicians to devise better ways of campaigning to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Bishop Mchombo says politicians should reduce on the size of people that they meet and that meetings should be held in open places.
He says the Electoral Commission of Zambia and stakeholders should also come in to ensure that a better way of campaigning in the COVID-19 era is found.
Bishop Mchombo was speaking with ZNBC News on the side lines of a two-day community facilitators orientation workshop under the Kachere Development Programme -KDP- in Chipata this morning.
Earlier, KDP Director Martin Tembo said the training is aimed at capacity building in community facilitators on the thematic areas of the organisation.
Mr. Tembo said the training will also look at ways on how the community facilitators can contribute in fighting COVID-19.
