CHURCH YOUTHS TO GET EMPOWERED TOO
By Joy Siatubi:
Ndola Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel Mulenga says God has continued sustaining Zambia because of the covenant the country has with the almighty.
Mr. Mulenga says Zambia is blessed to have a leader who fears God and has gone a step further to declare October 18 as a Day of National Prayer.
And Mr. Mulenga, who is also Youth and Sports Minister has offered one hundred youths from Grace Ministries Worship Center in Ndola empowerment loans.
He has asked the youths in the church who have businesses to apply for the funds that government is giving out to young people trading from markets on the Copperbelt.
Mr. Mulenga, who was accompanied by his wife, Bayenku said this during a church service at Grace Ministries in Ndola this morning.
He explained to the congregation that government has set aside about 8 million kwacha for the Copperbelt to empower youth marketeers, in order to cushion the impact of covid-19 on their businesses.
And Grace Ministries Mission International Overseer, Newton Mulenga commended government for embarking on the empowerment of churches.
Bishop Mulenga said the church will continue to pray for the country’s leaders.
