CONSTRUCTION OF 115 SCHOOLS STALLS
Government says there are 115 Secondary Schools whose works have stalled countrywide.
Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA says most of the stalled works are for boarding schools.
Mr. SYAKALIMA has cited the boarding school for the Deaf in Lusaka’s Munali Township as one of the projects which has stalled for over 10 years.
He told ZNBC News after touring the School that the new dawn government will find resources to ensure some of the stalled projects are completed.
Mr. SYAKALIMA said most school pupils progressing to Secondary fail to find spaces because of inadequate space.
He said inadequate secondary school space is contributing to early pregnancies among school girls that are forced to rent homes near schools.
