Copper queens get shot in the arm

The Copper Queens have received a $5,000 donation from jewel of Africa towards preparations for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
The money was raised from the Auction sale of a designed football necklace bought by Higer Bus Zambia limited during gala dinner last week.
And speaking during the presentation of the cheque in Lusaka Jewel of Africa Chief Executive Officer RASHMI SHARMA said his firm is happy to have designed the necklace which was done with aim of raising money to support the Copper Queens.
And Higer bus Zambia Limited General Manager WU MING said the firm purchased the necklace in a bid to support the team as they prepare for the world Cup.
And Football Association of Zambia Deputy General Secretary JOSEPH CHIMPAMPWE has called for more sponsors to come on board and help the team get ready for the show piece that starts in July.
Meanwhile Copper Queens Captain BARBARA BANDA said the donation will go a long way in pushing the team’s aspirations at the World Cup as they target to get past the group stage.
