DAKA, SAKALA TO MISS SECOND LEG
The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- says Patson Daka and Fashion Sakala will not be available for the second leg of 2022 World Cup qualifier match against Equatorial Guinea.
This is for the Sunday, October 10, game to be played in Lusaka.
FAZ General Secretary, Adrian Kashala has confirmed in a statement, saying this is because the two players are not fully vaccinated.
Kashala said FIFA has secured a conditional waiver with the English FA, for players travelling to red listed countries to be exempted from the 10-day mandatory quarantine.
This is on condition that the players are fully vaccinated; however Daka and Sakala are not and therefore cannot travel to Zambia.
Meanwhile, the Chipolopolo have ended their 7-day camp in Douala, Cameroon, and are flying into Equatorial Guinea this evening.
Kashala said the Chipolopolo will fly out of Malabo, immediately after the game tomorrow, on a chartered flight, ahead of the Sunday reverse fixture.
