Digital transformation will help attainment of vision 2030
ZANIS-Northern Province Permanent Secretary BERNARD MPUNDU says the government is keen on broadening digital knowledge as one of the components of growing the economy.
Mr. MPUNDU says digital transformation will enable the country to accelerate progress towards the attainment of the 2030 Vision of becoming a prosperous middle income country.
He says the government is exploring ways of crafting the collective digital future and devising national programmes to leverage opportunities that the fourth industrial revolution presents.
Mr. MPUNDU said this in a speech read on his behalf by his deputy, SINEVA KAMBENJA during the launch of the ZAMTEL Customer Service Centre in Kasama today.
And ZAMTEL Northern Region Business Manager WILLIAM MWALE said the company stands ready to work with the government through the Ministry Technology and science in creating local digital solutions that will address the local challenges.
Mr. MWALE explained that Zamtel has adopted a unique franchise model through which the company is assisting enterprising Zambians to seize opportunities being created in the telecommunications value chain.
