The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes -SACCORD- has urged political players NOT to underestimate political defections because they have a huge impact on the electorate.
SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says this because political defections have the ability to change the opinion polls in an election period.
Mr. Cheembe has told ZNBC News that political players who choose to join other political parties usually have a following which in turn moves with them.
He said political players should instead work towards strengthening their political stamina as opposed to overlooking defections.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cheembe has called on political parties to condemn all acts of political violence ahead of the August 12 General election.
