Don’t harass public service workers – Mucheleka
Zanis-Permanent Secretary Special Division at Cabinet Office PATRICK MUCHELEKA says government will not condone any harassment of public service workers.
Mr. MUCHELEKA says government workers have a crucial role in the economic development of the country.
He has however urged civil servants to work diligently as they have a duty to interpret and explain Government policies to people.
Mr. MUCHELEKA said this when he held a meeting with Heads of Government departments in Mpulungu district.
And Mpulungu District Education Board Secretary, AMOS SIMUTOWE assured the permanent secretary of workers commitment to service delivery.
Mr. SIMUTOWE said public service workers know their role in the development process of the country and remain committed to ensuring they deliver to the expectation of the people.
He further appealed that government continues to support the workers with necessary logistics to help them deliver.
Mr. SIMUTOWE said among the logistics is transport to government departments so that they are able to reach far flung areas.
