By Christopher Miti
The Ministry of Agriculture has procured over 12,000 litres of chemicals to control army worms in Eastern Province.
Acting Provincial Agricultural Coordinator BISA BWALYA says almost all the districts in the province have been invaded by fall army worms.
Ms BWALYA says Mambwe is the only district that has been invaded by the African Army worms.
She says the chemicals are being distributed to districts and will later be given to affected farmers.
Ms BWALYA was speaking during the tour of fields under Sustainable Intensification of Small holder Farming Systems in Zambia in Chipangali district.
And Chipangali District Agricultural Coordinator FREDERICK MWANSA said the army worm invasion is not severe in the district.
