GIRLS TOLD NOT TO SHUN SCIENCE COURSES
By Chansa Kunda:
Vice President Mutale Nalumango says there is need to change the current narrative where most girls shun science courses.
Mrs. Nalumango says the trend of having most females shun away from taking part in other key sectors is a global problem that must be addressed.
The Vice President has since urged girls to take up Science subjects.
She however notes that the country has made tremendous progress in creating a level playing field to have more women take up key positions in sectors that have been male dominated.
Mrs. Nalumango said this when she held bilateral talks with officials from the Swedish Embassy at her office today.
And Swedish vice Minister for International Development Cooperation Janine Alm Ericson has commended Zambians for a peaceful transition following the 2021 General elections.
